Aimee King Dance Teacher

AIMEE KING - Principal
(RAD CBTS)

Aimee started her dance training at the age of 4 at Janice King Academy of Dance. Loving filling her afternoons with dance she started helping out as an Assistant Teacher at age 14 with her love of teaching growing from there. After school Aimee studied Community Welfare but it wasn’t long until she realised dancing was where she wanted to be full time. In 2010 when the wonderful Janice King retired, Aimee took over Janice King Academy of Dance, changing the name of the school in 2011 to Dance 4 Fun. Aimee is a registered Royal Academy of Dance and Glen Wood tap teacher, as well as being a qualified Zumba instructor. Aimee teaches all of the tap and majority of the ballet classes within the school.

Miss Aimee is the Principal of Dance 4 Fun, and teaches D4F Mini's classes, RAD Ballet and Tap.

LAUREN WATERWORTH - Creative Director
(B.Dance, AACert)

Lauren began her dance training at the age of 4, training in all styles of dance, singing and gymnastics. She placed in the top 10 in NSW for HSC Dance, and was nominated to perform her own choreography at the prestigious HSC 'Callbacks'. Lauren then went on to complete tertiary study in dance at Wesley Institute, and a Bachelor of Dance at The Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA). She received an award for Outstanding Choreography and was shortlisted for the NSW Sharp Short Dance competition for her contemporary work entitled 'Tabula Rasa.' Miss Lauren is also fully qualified with Acrobatic Arts Pty Ltd, specialising in dance-specific acrobatics and contortion. Lauren is passionate about encouraging excellence in each of her students and inspiring a love of dance as an art form and a means of expression.

Miss Lauren is the Creative Director at Dance 4 Fun and head of our D4 Performers troupes.

Louise Plush Dance Teacher

LOUISE PLUSH

Louise began dancing when she was 4 years of age with Janice King Academy of Dance. Louise received distinctions in all ballet examinations from pre primary to intermediate. After dancing her way through high school and dancing in 6 school spectaculars, 6 regional and 6 state dance festivals she studied dance in her HSC and went on to university to study a Bachelor of Arts/Psychology and followed this with a Master of teaching in Primary education. She has continued to implement her love of dance whilst teaching primary students, receiving professional development in dance and drama studies, choreographing and teaching school based dance troupes and assisting with the running and stage work for the Bankstown East Hills dance festivals.

At Dance 4 Fun Louise teaches Jazz and Contemporary.

FIONA LARKIN

Fiona began dancing at Dance Ink, furthering her training at Dance 4 Fun in her teens. She completed her RAD Intermediate exam and performed in festivals and musicals throughout her schooling including The Wizard of Oz, Shrek Jr, Cinderella and Grease the Arena Experience.  In her HSC, she received a band 6 in Dance and a “Callbacks” nomination.

Since then, Fiona completed her Bachelor of Dance Performance at The Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA), majoring in Ballet and Contemporary. In 2021 Fiona completed her Acrobatic Arts Module 1 Certificate and Aerial and Back Handspring Workshop. Fiona has performed in various projects including, ‘Partita’ (Evie Morris), ‘One Life Stand’ (Douglas Wiseman), DIP Show II (Abraham Trevilla) and Train Escape (Francesca Gozdek - Interchange Dance) performed at the Florence Dance Festival in Italy. Fiona was selected as a 2023 company member at AUSTI Dance Co, and is excited to continue this in 2024.

Emma Roberts Dance Teacher

EMMA ROBERTS

Miss Emma began dancing from the age of 5 training in ballet, tap, contemporary, jazz and hip hop. Emma has completed RAD ballet exams up to Advanced Foundation and was a student of the NSW Arts Unit all throughout high school. Emma started as an assistant dance teacher at Dance 4 Fun in 2013, and began teaching junior classes in 2017.

Miss Emma teaches Hip Hop at Dance 4 Fun, and hopes that as a teacher she can inspire all students to grow in their passion for dance, and to encourage all students to enjoy the learning process as they challenge themselves to be the best dancers they can be!

CHARLIE BAYLEY

Charlie began her dance training at the age of 2 and has been dancing in a variety of styles since including ballet, jazz and contemporary. She completed her RAD Ballet exams up to grade 5, and continues to take classes to further her training.

Charlie has been at Dance 4 Fun for 5 years now and has been a student teacher since 2022. In 2020 Charlie participated in the Wizard of Oz Arena Spectacular and is currently choreographing for We Will Rock You at Picnic Point High School. She looks forward to teaching for the first time this year and cannot wait to inspire younger students of the studio.
